Photographer based in MADAGASCAR
29/08/2011 - Antsirabe, MADAGASCAR - The bodies are wrapped up in a new shroud, traditionally made of silk from the Antsirabe region (called Lamba Mena or Lamba Landy). The production of this fabric is extremely costly for poor families, but they would rather go into debt than avoid paying this ultimate form of respect to their ancestors.
