Institut Pasteur laboratory workers perform PCR (Polymerase Chain Reaction) tests to determine whether patients are positive for the new Covid-19 coronavirus, in Antananarivo, April 23, 2020. Since March 18, 2020, Institut Pasteur has tested 2300 patients in PCR. Each test requires 4 hours of processing time. To date, 121 patients have been tested positive for Covid-19, including 58 patients who have been cured. No Covid-19 related deaths have been recorded yet.
